Heat and a door that drags

In 2011, the warmest summer on record, Dallas–Fort Worth logged 40 straight days above 100°F, according to NOAA's Texas climate summary. Wood and metal both move with temperature, so after weeks like that, a door that has begun to drag or a bolt that rubs its strike plate is worth a close look before anyone blames the key. If the bolt no longer lines up with the strike plate, the door has shifted in its frame, and lubricant alone will not fix that.
