Orlando's neighborhood business areas have had city support through the Orlando Main Streets program since 2008. Its 12 districts run from Mills 50, Ivanhoe Village and the Milk District to SoDo, Curry Ford West, Gateway District and West Lakes, along with City District, College Park, the Audubon Park Garden District, Thornton Park and Parramore. UCF Downtown and Valencia College Downtown opened there in August 2019, and Electronic Arts moved its Orlando studio into a 175,940-square-foot office building in fall 2021. In a multi-tenant building, the landlord often runs lobby, elevator and garage access, while tenant work stays within the suite: the suite entry, interior offices, storage and records rooms. Confirm with building management which locks your lease lets you change.

Turnover and key control

Each key-holding employee or tenant who leaves raises the same question: where is that key now?

• Keep a written register of who holds which key, and collect keys at exit.
• Rekey the affected doors when a key is not returned; see lock rekeying.
• For several doors and staff levels, a master key system lets managers open every door while staff keys open only their areas.
• When a tenant leaves a suite, rekey the suite doors before the next tenant takes it, and ask the landlord which keys the building already holds.
