Staff turnover and key control

Each departing employee, contractor or tenant may leave with a key:

1. Keep a written list of who holds each key, and collect keys on the last day.
2. Rekey the affected cylinders when a key goes missing, a manager leaves or you move into a suite, since the last tenant may have kept copies.
3. For many doors or frequent turnover, consider a master key system, restricted keys that cannot be copied at a hardware counter, or keypad access that lets you delete a code.
