Pinpointing the car

If a car lockout happens in a city garage such as Gotts, Knighton or Hillman, remember that garage levels look alike: note the garage name, the level and the nearest stairwell or row marker. On a street, give the block, the nearest cross street and which side the car is on.

Snow emergencies and towing

Annapolis handles snow emergencies in phases. Phase II (more than 4 and up to 8 inches of snow) bans parking on emergency snow routes, and a car left on one risks towing and impound. Phase III (over 8 inches) keeps every vehicle off city streets except snow equipment, emergency vehicles and others the mayor authorizes.

If water is rising around the car, step back from it. Mention in the request if the car sat in water, since door and trunk locks that stick afterward are part of the picture.
