Safety before anything else

A car you can't get into still has to follow the meter. According to the city's street parking page, downtown paid parking is enforced from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and neighborhood meter areas from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, under Chapter 451 and Section 453.01 of the Codified Ordinances. Downtown meters are not enforced on Sundays except in special-event zones, which activate two hours before an event, so check for an event nearby before settling in to wait.
