The parking clock keeps running

A car locked on a Nampa street may still be sitting against a time limit.

• Downtown, on-street parking is limited to two hours in the central core and four hours in the surrounding blocks. Some residential neighborhoods also have time limits or permit parking.
• Under Nampa City Code 7-2-10, time-limited zones are regulated from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day unless signs state otherwise, excluding Sundays and state holidays.
• Nampa City Code 7-2-19 lets an officer attach another ticket for each two hours a ticketed vehicle stays in place.

Snow banks and summer heat

The city's snow guidance asks residents to park off the street when they can, so cars are not buried and plows have room to work. If your car is locked behind a plowed bank, say how much snow is against the driver's door. If the engine is running, keep the tailpipe clear of snow.
